K-pop girl group NewJeans has just released a music video for their single "Supernatural," a collaboration with Pharrell Williams.
The music video for this R&B-infused bop has a fun throwback theme, reminiscent of '90s TV series. During the choreography scenes, you'll notice that member Hyein, who had previously injured her foot, is replaced by a masked dancer.

I really like the R&B elements in this track, it gives the song it's charm. The music video is fun, especially the opening credits that give it a '90s TV show vibe. I wish they kept that vintage feel throughout the video and maybe switched to 4K quality for the choreography scenes.
Speaking of choreography, I wonder why they didn't incorporate the bunny more if it was there to represent Hyein. It seems like they added the bunny as an afterthought and only included a few shots at the end of the video. If Hyein did injure her foot, then maybe that's what they should have shown, especially during the rehearsing shots(@0:49). Maybe have her seated with with her foot up, cheering the girls on. Because let's be real, in what K-Pop group would it be okay for the group to be in rehearsal while you're outside with some boy?
Overall, I still think it's a fun video and it matches the vibe of the song.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
